Lives between Branches 🍃 – A Dusky Langur community art exhibition ✨🐒

It all began with a spark of inspiration, when Trisha, a clay artist from @clay.pu saw wild dusky langurs occasionally visiting her home-based studio, located in a quaint hillside neighbourhood in Tanjung Bungah. 🏡

When Trisha reached out to Langur Project Penang, we instantly clicked, sharing one vision: to raise awareness for the urban dusky langurs in Penang. 💚 Soon the dream grew with 2 more talented artists, Denise Khoo from @cat.n.air and Lea from @bnnylea joining us on this meaningful collaborative journey! 🥰

After months of detailed planning, in September, Clay.pu hosted a full month of weekend “Make-Your-Langur” pottery workshops 🎨, inviting the community to get hands-on with conservation art by creating their very own little dusky langur figurines 🩶🧡.

Meanwhile, Trisha, Denise, and Lea poured their efforts into creating beautiful artworks in preparation for the exhibition and a series of art workshops in November 💪.

On 21-23 November, “Lives Between Branches” officially went live at Clay.pu! We were overjoyed by the community members’ support for local grassroots conservation efforts and local artists!

Over the weekend, LPP also held 2 educational sharing sessions and short visits to the nearby Numi’s Crossing canopy bridge. 🫶🏼

This exhibition was absolutely one of LPP’s highlights this year! 💚 Together, we witnessed how conservation and art unite people – fostering kindness, empathy, and tolerance for our urban wildlife. Let’s keep this passion burning in our hearts! ❤️‍🔥
